What is the X-Rack Tire Carrier?
The X-Rack Tire Carrier, also known as the X Rack, is a TIG-welded aluminum rack designed to accommodate your vehicle's original spare wheel or aftermarket wheels and tires up to 33 inches in diameter.
Can the X-Rack support larger tires if my vehicle has a lift?
Yes, the X-Rack is engineered to accommodate nearly any size aftermarket tire and wheel setup. For oversized configurations, please contact our Engineering department to ensure compatibility.
Does installing the X-Rack require changing my vehicle's hinges?
No, the XR features an innovative design that doesn't piggyback directly off the van's hinges. Therefore, there's no need to replace your existing hinges, even if they're 180-degree or 270-degree styles.
Is drilling required for installation?
Yes, installation involves drilling small mounting holes in the door and slightly larger ones behind the interior trim panel. The X-Rack includes both exterior and interior reinforcement plates to ensure proper integration with your van.
What materials and finishes are available for the X-Rack?
The X-Rack is constructed from TIG-welded aluminum and comes primarily in black. Other available colors include white, silver, and pebble gray.
Is the X-Rack compatible with all van models?

Yes, the X-Rack comes with detailed installation instructions and a video guide, making it suitable for DIY installation. However, professional installation is available at our facility for $350. Please call to schedule an appointment.
Do I need to modify my van's hinges to install the X-Rack?
No, the X-Rack works with both 270-degree and 180-degree hinge styles, allowing you to retain your original, color-matched hinges without modification.
